  • We seek documentaries and stories that address important, often overlooked issues, such as:

    • Mental health and well-being

    • Women’s health (including topics like menstruation, menopause, pregnancy, and miscarriage)

    • Racial equality, diversity, and inclusion

    • Criminal activity (e.g. trafficking, gang activity, prisons, etc)

    • Social justice and activism

    • Personal empowerment and identity

    • Taboo or stigmatised topics that deserve attention

    • Whistleblowing

  • We prioritise content that is genuine, raw, and honest—stories that are not afraid to explore the complexities of real-life experiences. We welcome voices from underrepresented communities and creators who bring their unique perspectives to the forefront.

  • We value high-quality storytelling, whether through documentary filmmaking, personal narratives, or journalistic investigation. Your content should be engaging, well-crafted, and thought-provoking.

  • We encourage content that promotes inclusivity and diversity. Whether it’s through representation, themes, or creative involvement, we want to ensure that all voices are heard and celebrated.

How You Can Earn Money by Contributing

We believe in building fair, collaborative partnerships with documentary makers. That’s why we use a simple 50/50 revenue-share model.

Here’s how it works:

  • You create the documentary, we help bring it to the world. We handle distribution, promotion, platform management, and audience growth so filmmakers can focus on storytelling.

  • We do not offer upfront payments for contributions to The Platform. Instead, we operate on a simple and fair revenue-share model: all income generated by your documentary is split evenly.

    You receive 50%, and we receive 50%. Your share is paid out transparently on a monthly basis, giving you clear insight into how your work is performing.

    Our share is reinvested into growing an ecosystem where impactful stories can thrive - funding new documentaries, maintaining The Platform, supporting marketing efforts, and covering essential operational costs.

  • There are no upfront costs or hidden fees. We only succeed when your documentary succeeds.

  • The more your content is viewed, the more you can earn. Creators whose content performs well - measured by views and shares - will be eligible for performance-based bonuses. These bonuses are designed to reward high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our community.

  • By hosting your content on The Platform, you gain exposure to a passionate community of viewers who value meaningful content. Through our co-marketing efforts, we’ll promote your work on social media, in newsletters, and within our platform to help grow your audience.

    If your content performs well, we’ll also feature your work on our homepage and other prominent spaces to increase visibility.

  • As part of our contributor community, you will have access to resources that can help you grow as a creator. This includes storytelling workshops, technical support, and expert advice. These tools will help you maximise your content’s impact and revenue potential.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR CONTENT

We want to make it easy for you to share your stories with The Platform. Here’s how to get started:

  • Before submitting, make sure your content aligns with our values and guidelines. We’re looking for content that is engaging, socially impactful, and authentic. You must have full consent of those being featured within your documentary. If you are filming vulnerable adults or children, please ensure you can also demonstrate rigorous safeguarding processes are in place during the production and editing process.

  • Use our contact form to get in touch - provide a brief overview of your content, including a synopsis, key themes, and any relevant background. You can also share a link with us to a preview or trailer of your content. Our team will review the submission and get back to you promptly.

  • Once your content is approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it meets our technical and quality standards. This includes formatting, resolution, and other specifications. We will ask you for a short description of your work, those featured within it, and about yourselves as film-makers to include on the promotional page.

  • Once your content is live on The Platform, you’ll start earning money based on its performance. Money is paid out on a monthly basis in arrears.
